Welcome to my new fan blog for Littlest Pet Shop.
I've been a fan of LPS for about four years now. I liked it a lot, but was bothered by how few fans it seemed to have online. Oh, sure, there was the occasional fan site and plenty of videos where people made their own stories with their LPS toys. Despite that, LPS just didn't seem all that popular. Its Wiki page was lacking, finding a fellow LPS fan on a forum or something was almost unheard of, and LPS online was ended.
People just didn't seem to care about LPS. People outside of its targeted audience of little girls, anyway.
My Little Pony ended up being the opposite of that. MLP created a large and amazing fanbase that I'm beyond happy to be a part of. I wished that Hasbro would create a new LPS show to air on The Hub like they did with MLP, but didn't think it would ever happen.
As The Hub's new... catchphrase (for lack of a better term) goes... it could happen. It DID happen.
Hasbro actually created a LPS show for The Hub.
Not only that, but it was traditionally animated (well, with Flash, but you know what I mean), not CG. CG would have probably ruined it for me.
In addition, the show was worked on by many people who also work on MLP.
And they aired two episodes in a row.
On the same day as MLP season three.
RIGHT AFTER MLP SEASON THREE AIRED.
That's the story of how Hasbro became my new favorite company.
I decided even before the LPS premiere ended that I wanted to create a fan blog for it.
Not just the show, though. LPS in general. I love LPS, including the pre-show toys and such. Still, the show surpassed my expectations. I'd say it's not quite as good as MLP:FiM, but it's pretty darn close.
I can't help but wonder if LPS is going to split into gens now, the way MLP has. If they're going to continue with the current toys or release new, redesigned ones based off the show. No matter what they decide to do, I have a feeling that Hasbro is going to end up getting money from me pretty often.
